If we see an interesting character, we have to take a picture. It all came together for Faiza at Lakme Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012; a riot of colours and experimental style. It isn’t about frantically looking for trends. Its simply enjoying the aesthetic pleasure that beautiful and original clothes give to our eyes.

Turbans tending around the country
I was so taken by the simplicity of this woman
I’m particularly in love with the clean minimalist look in a rural India which is otherwise bursting with prints and colours. I once read somewhere; Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add but when there is nothing left to take away. She is just perfect. A white saree with a nose stud, some ear cuffs, a few bangles, chained beads in varying lengths, and ghungroo in the hair. Just perfect.
The moment I laid my eyes on her, I could see myself in a clear white dress and nothing more but ice cold grey silver accessories. A bit like this:
